The videos on Gracie University are hosted on one of the major international video networks. It is rare that there are issues that are not caused by local networks, ISP or cellular provider but it is possible there could be a regional slowdown. Other sites such as YouTube manage their own networks and due to their size have special arrangements with ISPs throughout the world. For that reason you may experience good streaming for those sites while not always getting the same bandwidth for GU. Since the issue appears to be isolated to your local network there is unfortunately not anything we can do directly to alleviate the issue. If you would like we can send you instructions on how to run a trace route which will then track the signal from your device to the nearest video server. Note that it is much easier to do a trace route from a computer as opposed to from a mobile device. The trace route will potentially show where the slowdown is occurring. Gracie University Support Team Ik heb nadien nog eens benadrukt dat het enkel via mijn WIFI-connectie was waarop ik het volgende antwoord kreeg: Ah, got it – sorry for misunderstanding that. It’s quite difficult to run a trace route from a mobile device. But your description gives an interesting clue to the issue. If the video is fine to your PC but not to your wireless devices that connect via wifi to the same network that would indicate that the video signal from the nearest video server to your local network is solid. The trace route would not show us any additional information as it traces the full path from your local network to the video server. You indicated that your video service from other video networks such as YouTube to those same mobile devices via wifi when you are in your training room or your partner’s house work well. This is going to be difficult to find the point of issue as if all of the video is getting to your PC at a good quality but then when you connect via wifi to the same hub only GU video suffers, that would be a very unusual circumstance. It’s possible that YouTube has additional algorithms that optimize the video further when it recognizes that it is on a wifi network. Unfortunately there isn’t going to be much we can do to solve this and I apologize that the service is not to an acceptable level for you.
