HGW overloaded?

Hey,

I have Telenet's HGW 3.0 (DOCSIS). My homenetwork design is like this:

HGW;

Port1: PC

Port2: PC

Port3: Devolo +1200

Wifi(2.4&5Ghz under 1 name): 5 Smartphones, 1 iPad, 1 Laptop.

Devolo +1200 Wifi is connected such as;

Port1: PC

Port2: Xbox One

Wifi(5Ghz): 2nd Xbox One, 2nd Laptop, 2nd iPad, 3 Smartphones.

Now my problem is having random DC's to internet (effects all devices), random way too slow dl/ul speed and connection issues to games. I want to know if there is a solution to this? Telenet came 2 times and said there were no problems with the HGW (they were doing only speedtests). But the thing is, it's just not stable everytime and they gave me the answer that there is no problem with the HGW and a reset will solve it. Yes a reset does solve it, but only for a couple hours, a day or two at it's best. It occurs most of the time if everyone is using their devices at the same time (which is every evening), is it overloading the router/HGW of Telenet?

Is there a way to get a stable connection for all the time if not for most of the time?

HGW overloaded?

Your account has, I think, 200 Mbps down en 20 Mbps up. I see 10 or more devices. If only 5 of them are streaming, they take their maximum of capacity and the others are getting the rest. With WiFi en Powerlines you are loosing more capacity in your network.

HGW overloaded?

@Ex-Netweter

Hi

Are you sure the problems occure on every device, thus also on the devices who are connected with a cable directly to the modem? (I know you mentioned it but just to be sure.)

If that's the case, go to a Telenet center and replace your HGW. You can just disconnect it and take it with you and ask a new one.

I hope this solves everything.

HGW overloaded?

Yes every device lose their connection with the internet, even the ones connected directly to the HGW.

I'll replace it and let you know if it's fixed, thanks for the fast reply.
