Netjes! En we zijn vertrokken!

Need to relocate NIU-65/88-GA-01A-BE05.

The coaxial cable from Telenet arrives in the basement. Therefore the Wi-Fi in the home is very good in the basement but less quality in the home.

Since we do not really need Wi-Fi in the basement I would like to move NIU-65/88-GA-01A-BE05. I would like to get the coaxial cable to go up along the stairs up one floor.

Therefore I would like to dis-connect Telenet coaxial cable from the NIU-65/88-GA-01A-BE05 move NIU-65/88-GA-01A-BE05 and the Modem CH7465LG0TN.

Can I disconnected the Telenel coaxial cable from the NIU-65/88-GA-01A-BE05, re-route the Telenet coaxial, move the model to new location?

Is there any precaution needed?

Thank you.

This is not a direct answer to your question, but something to consider. Why not connect a UTP cable to your modem and route that to another location on another device?

If you have a CV8560E or F@ST3896LG-TN modem (you can get these at a Telenet shop) then you use set it up in bridge mode and use your own router (which has several advantages).

Or you can connect the UTP cable to an access point, switch, mesh system, ... Or you can use your own modem.

There are other options as well, but KISS and use a UTP cable. I think cat6e (at least) is advised to be future proof.
